About the Business

Broadoak Preservation is a local, family run business, with over 20 years industry experience in converting basements and lofts as well as completing high quality home extensions. To us it is more than just building work. This is our passion, we simply love converting buildings and have both the experience and a highly skilled team to help you achieve your projects with ease.

We know how stressful it can be for people when spending money on large home improvements, whether it be simply water proofing your basement or looking to have a full cellar or loft conversion. Home improvements need consideration, thought, time and money to take inhabitable spaces and convert them into functioning and enjoyable environments. Although we all know in the end additions like these add value to your home or business, it doesn’t take away the stress of finding the right team to help you and of course, at the budget you have in mind. So when you decide to spend on upgrading your place let the team at Broadoak share our vast experience of making clients happy and take out the stress and worry that these projects naturally bring.

Loft Conversions

Loft Conversions

We have completed loft conversions in Chorlton, Heaton Moor, Stockport, Northenden, Reddish, Didbsury and all around the South Manchester area. We are always looking at ways to improve and lessen costs for our clients. An example of this was a loft conversion project in Heaton Moor where instead of taking the floor out, which was the original idea, we put the joists side by side. This was not anticipated in the original plan and therefore saved the client over £2,000. This meant the client could then have the front roof off, giving them a new roof which they did not anticipate and are thrilled with!

Basement Conversions

Basement Conversions

A basement is another word for cellar and usually it’s a dark and gloomy room underneath many properties in the South Manchester and Cheshire areas. Basements are common in older properties such as Victorian properties where they were used to store food and fuel or to keep things cool, located at the back of the home and easily accessible to the kitchen and cleaning areas. Basements have a sinister connection used many times in Horror Movies as the ‘dark’ place of the home.
