D A Cook (Builders) Ltd have enjoyed a long and varied history in the construction industry, dating back to 1968. Repeat business has come from a diverse range of public and private clients including English Heritage; National Trust; Natural England; Diocese of Gloucestershire and Diocese of Worcestershire. Commercial clients include Gloucestershire NHS; Gloucestershire County Council; MOD; GCHQ, Rooftop Housing Association and London Allied.
Repair, restoration, refurbishment and adaptation of a wide range of historic buildings have been a core of the family business. Work has been successfully completed on traditional timber framed structures, Cotswold Stone Manor houses and lime rendered Regency buildings, and the historic status of Grade 1; Grade 2* or even Scheduled Ancient Monument poses no concern to our skilled and experienced workforce. Indeed many awards have been received for this type of work.
