About the Business
Weardale Building Supplies Ltd was established in Wolsingham in 2002 after Ian Wallace left the partnership at Middleton Forge, which he established in the 1970's. WBS has supplied farmers, tradesmen and individuals in Weardale, Teesdale and Bishop Auckland with building, farming, gardening and DIY materials for over 10 years. Ian has also been able to offer haulage for other companies over the years, and has built up a portfolio of satisfied customers. Recently the business has undergone a number of changes in the way it is run. Ian continues to concentrate on WBS Haulage Services, and daughter Julie runs the supplies side of the business. The farming and gardening supplies business has been given a fresh new image and now trades as Bluebird Country Supplies, although it is still part of WBS.
