Kent Blaxill has served the Colchester area since 1838, when it was founded as an oil and glass business on the town’s High Street. Since then, our family-owned firm has expanded across eight sites across East Anglia, offering paint, timber, glass, ironmongery, tools landscaping, building supplies and much, much more.

We have also been known as a leading kitchen and bathroom specialist since 1963, when we first moved from Colchester High Street and opened our purpose-built site at Layer Road. Our showroom, affectionately known as Home Inspirations, has since built up an enviable reputation for quality and service, and we specialise in helping you to find the kitchens, bathrooms, wall and floor coverings that are right for you – at a price that suits you best.

Great customer service delivered by Karl on the building materials side - I went in without a clue of what I needed to do to make a ground anchor to lock up my motorbike, Karl came up with a perfect solution in minutes. Highly professional staff & a massive choice of products. Big thumbs up from me!

Amazing customer service!! I was unable to collect something I ordered last and have just had it delivered unexpectedly by Kent Blaxill in Bury! I hadn't even arranged a delivery!! Great to still have a company delivering fantastic old fashioned customer service! Very happy now.
